Freedom, Maine, Restaurant Owner Now Has Her Own TV Show
Erin French opened The Lost Kitchen in Freedom Maine just six years ago. It's gained national attention and now she has her own TV show.
Erin is about to Make The Lost Kitchen in little Waldo County famous.
According to the Bangor Daily News, 'The Lost Kitchen' will be a TV docuseries produced by the famous interior designing couple Chip and Joanna Gaines. The show will premiere some time next year on the Magnolia Network.
That's a brand new TV channel that will replace the current DIY Network.
The series will follow Erin and her crew as they get all the Maine ingredients, see how they maintain and decorate the dining room, and the hardest part - getting a reservation list from the thousands of postcards that pour in wanting to try the legendary food of The Lost Kitchen, according to the newspaper.
The only way to get a reservation is to send in postcard and hope you are picked.
Unfortunately, this year she has had to close her seasonal restaurant because of the coronavirus pandemic, the BDN stated. It's such an intimate setting that social distancing and masks just wouldn't give the experience she's worked so hard to create.
She's been experimenting with her restaurant offering outdoor lunches and event starting a farmer's market outside the Mill at Freedom Falls, according to the newspaper, and she's even building 'glamping' style cabins on her land that (hopefully) next years guests can stay after they eat at The Lost Kitchen. All of that will be in the show!
When is the show on? The new Magnolia Network hasn't set a date to debut, but it looks like we'll have to wait until 2021.
