This amazing light display is back for 2021, but don't expect to get out of the car!

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, located at 105 Botanical Gardens Drive, in Boothbay, is truly a magical experience. It opened in 2007, and it has been named of Maine's top attractions. It's gardens and landscape include nearly a mile of tidewater shoreline. The gardens see on average about 200,000 guests a year from all over the world.

The most exciting event of the year is almost here. Starting on, November 20th, a driving tour of magical lights will take place, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30-8:30pm, until January 1st of 2022.

Gardens Aglow will once again light up the Boothbay peninsula for the seventh year in a row Gardens Aglow will accommodate safety protocols necessary for large events. Gardens Aglow is illuminated by nearly 650,000 energy-efficient LED bulbs, which is nearly 60 miles of lights! Very cool.

The cost is $40 per nonmember car, and $30 per member car.

Safety is the main reason that this will once again be a driving event. The walking version of Gardens Aglow normally has thousands of people in close proximity at any time, so due to the ongoing delta variant, this course of action was chosen to keep everyone safe

Tickets for this unique event for the whole family can be purchased at https://shop.mainegardens.org/

You can also get tickets by phone, just call 207-633-8000.

No dining or restroom facilities will be available on site. Check out BoothbayLights.com for a complete list of businesses in the area that open during Gardens Aglow.
