Glenburn’s Getting Spooky With A Haunted Trail And A ‘Boos & Bumpers’ Event This Month
Six years ago, as folks were looking for fun ways to celebrate the Halloween season amidst a pandemic, the Glenburn Parks and Rec Department created a spooky, family-friendly trail behind the Glenburn Elementary School at 991 Hudson Road that gave small groups an excuse to get outside and enjoy a little holiday fun.

Since then, it's grown to become a much-loved tradition in this small Penobscot County town.

The trail is decorated with a different theme each year. There's never anything too jumpy or gory, so it's ok for kids of all ages.

The roots and stumps are well marked in white paint, so you don't trip and there are cameras monitoring the trail as well, for safety.

Some tips for you, if you've never been: wear comfy shoes, bring a flashlight and stay on the path.

There's a bit of a walk from the end of the trail to the parking lot, but they do sometimes have hayrides that you can hop onto to hitch a ride back.
