Two Glenburn residents got a nice treat while kayaking.

A couple from Glenburn loves to take adventures all over the world. They also like to document these excursions on their YouTube Channel called "Eric's Maine Life." Turns out they didn't have to go too far, as they recently captured something pretty awesome right here in the state of Maine.

While staying in Kokadjo, Maine, which is near Moosehead Lake in Greenville, the couple got up at the crack of dawn to go kayaking, hoping to see a moose. They got their wish. They got up close and personal while the big guy was chomping down on his breakfast. He didn't seem to mind their presence, so they turned the camera on to enjoy this rare moment.

Moose can be seen throughout the state, but their population is greatest in the Western Lakes and Mountains, Kennebec Valley, The Maine Highlands, and Aroostook County. The best times to spot them are at dusk and dawn from mid-May through July and again in the fall during their breeding season. Eric and his wife were at the right place at the right time

This is not their first encounter. They happened upon two bull moose at Sandy Stream Pond in Baxter State Park a couple of hours before sunset. They came back the next morning at sunrise and got another up close glimpse.

They have also been on a Puffin tour from Coast Charter Company in Cutler.
