Enjoy Maine Summer With Family Fun, Good Food & Tunes In Glenburn

The Glenburn Parks and Recreation Department is getting ready for its 5th summer of music, food, and family fun at Lakeside Landing.

They're about to kick off their "Music In The Park" Summer Lineup of local musical acts and food trucks.

Glenburn Parks & Rec Director, Carey Besse, says the events are free, family-friendly, and a lot of fun. The food trucks will be on hand, selling food, from 5-8 PM. Music will run from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

This year's festivities will kick off on the first night of summer, Friday, June 20th, with musical act "Brooke & Haley" and food provided by Salt N Cedar Kitchen and Mini Melts.

July 17th, Bangor area rockers "Dakota" will perform while the Brick & Embers Wood-Fired Pizza truck, along with Nate & Ollie's Rolled Ice Cream trucks, serve up dinner and dessert.

On July 24th, "Fire Pit" will provide the tunes, with Salt N Cedar Kitchen serving up treats to eat.

Vanessa Vhay will perform on July 31st, with Portable Pie Place presenting food options.

On August 7th, "Rockin' Ron & the New Society Band" will fill the air with songs. This Lil' Piggy and Nate & Ollie's Rolled Ice Cream will be there for those who would like to buy dinner.

Folks are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets, cash for the snacks, and their smiles.

The lake will be open for swimming and boating during the events, as well. All park rules apply.

The "Music in the Park Series" will wrap up on August 21st with "Just Us" and Smoke N Steel on Wheels" and "Hero's on Wheels".

According to the Town of Glenburn website:

"Lakeside Landing is located on Pushaw Lake and is owned by the Town of Glenburn.  The park includes a public beach with picnic tables, a float with a slide, a boat launch, horseshoe pits, and a large lawn for other activities."

You can reach the park by taking Pushaw Road in Glenburn to the Lakeside Landing Road, and following that down to the beach and parking spot.
