Goats Gone Wild In Greenbush!
While I can't remember if they ever featured a scenario like this on the TV show "Cops", I'm pretty sure this was not what two Sheriff Deputies from Penobscot County expected when they showed up to work Sunday.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department Facebook Page, two young deputies were on a routine patrol of the bustling metropolis of Greenbush, Maine, when they discovered some kids, running amuck.
These weren't your average, ordinary kids, but goat kids, rather. And these two trouble-makers managed to escape through a fence, from where they had been held captive and were on the run.
A couple of "goats gone wild!" if you will.
"They were quickly captured and safely returned. The deputies enjoyed their time with the goats and their amazing owners.
Deputies are often exposed to many critical incidents, so it’s nice to respond to something a little less stressful on occasion.
We're not sure this makes them farmers, but they did a pretty good job!"
Again, I'm not sure if they receive special "livestock negotiation" training while studying to be a deputy, or if there are any "getting a goat" obstacle courses that could have equipped them for such a task. Maybe it's just a matter of being flexible, creative, and having a good sense of humor that made these deputies GOATs that day.
Either way, here's to a job well done, gents.
