Governor LePage Directs Flags To Half-Staff
Another horrible and senseless shooting, and once again, our flags are at half-staff.
Because of the shootings last night in Thousand Oaks, California, Governor Paul LePage has ordered that both the United States flag and the Maine State flag be immediately flown at half-staff, and to stay that way until sunset this Saturday, November 10th.
"Ann and I are tremendously saddened by the shooting in Thousand Oaks in California," said Governor LePage. "We send our deepest condolences to the all of those who have been affected by this tragedy."
President Donald J. Trump issued a proclamation today directing flags to half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragedy in California, according to a press release received today.
