Governor LePage Orders Flags To Half-Staff To Honor Florida Shooting Victims
In respect for the victims of the tragic school shooting in Florida on Wednesday, Governor Paul R. LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset Monday, February 19th.
“Ann and I are deeply saddened by the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida,” said Governor LePage in a press release this morning. “Our hearts and prayers go out to the students, teachers and families who have been devastated by this tragedy.”
President Trump issued a proclamation today as well, directing flags to half-staff as a show of respect for the victims of yesterday's tragedy in Parkland, Florida.
