Holiday Fun And Photo Op Planned To Raise Money For Habitat For Humanity Of Greater Bangor
It's a chance for you to get a great shot for your Christmas card, while also letting the kids have some holiday fun!
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor is getting ready to host a festive, family event with Santa to raise money for the organization.
The cost to participate is $20 per family, with all the money raised going directly to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor to fund local projects, right here in Eastern Maine.
Melissa Huston, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor, says that since the organization's inception in 1989, the organization has helped to build 30 houses for families in need in Penobscot County.

"Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Its mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live. Through volunteer labor, donations, and partnerships with future homeowners, Habitat builds and repairs homes—empowering families, strengthening communities, and creating lasting change."
Joliff says HFHGB's most recent build allowed a local family a chance to move into their new house, just steps away from both a playground and a couple of schools.
