If you're looking for a cutie canine companion, the SPCA of Hancock's "Pet of the Week" Cindy Lou, might just be the gal for you!

According to our pal Cole from the SPCA, Cindy Lou likes company and is good really good with people of all ages.

"This good girl is about 4 years old and has experience as a certified emotional support animal for her previous owner. She’s a gorgeous black-and-white Staffie and terrier mix with a petite frame and plenty of energy but equal amounts of love."

Cole says she'd prefer to be the only pet in, and would do best in a home without other animals.

"She is still learning some leash manners but is usually a good girl for walks and is extremely treat motivated, so she is highly trainable. Cindy Lou loves spending time outdoors with people and would love for someone to come by and adopt her soon."

The SPCA of Hancock County also has a cool contest going on at the moment. According to their Facebook Page, in order to celebrate All-American Pet Photo Day, which is coming up on July 11th, they're having a photo contest. The SPCA wants to see pictures of your favorite furry or feathered (or scaly) friend.

"You may enter our contest by emailing your entry to communications@spcahancockcounty.org or by posting in the comments on the pinned Facebook post. Like before in our contests, all contestants will receive a link to their form so they can share it on social media and with friends. Multiple entries per household are allowed. First place (the winner who earns the most votes) will be featured in our 2023 calendar AND on our Bonfire store."

Votes are cast online by donation, and every donation goes straight to helping animals at the shelter.
