No sleep for you tonight, unless you pull the shades, because it's gonna be a bright one.

Yeah, tonight's the night to get out there and harvest the crop under the illumination of one of the brightest moons of the year.

Because of its brightness, the old-time farmers called it a Harvest Moon. which made it  light enough to continue working in the fields after sunset. We know the Harvest Moon as being the first full moon closest to the first day of Autumn, which was this past Saturday.

The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly clear night, so break out the cell phone and take a photo or two of the beautiful Harvest Moon!
