Last year Mainers and beyond missed out on the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association's  Common Ground Country Fair, an annual event held each September on the Unity Fairgrounds that is usually attended by thousands.

Farmers, gardeners and many other walks of life normally attend the Fair to learn how to build things, grow things, and look over what Maine farmers have for sale and what they have to say.

While the 2020 Common Ground Country Fair went virtual last year, the MOFGA is still hopeful that this year's Fair will still happen September 24th through the 26th, according to the organization's website.

One thing that any fan of the Common Ground Country Fair will tell you is that each and every year they look forward to the Fair poster.  This year's poster is a beauty.  It was drawn by artist Kathryn Russell, and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.

The 45th Annual Common Ground Country Fair poster depicts a tree made from fruits and vegetables "from the height of Maine's growing season", according to the MOFGA's site.  It would look great hanging on anyone's kitchen wall. You can pick one up for $10, and we know many people that will. Posters from Fairs of years past can also be found on the site as well.

The decision as to whether this year's Fair will on site, virtual, or some sort of hybrid of both, will be made sometime during the month of May.
