Send Your Gently Used Kids Stuff To This Indoor Hermon, Maine Yard Sale
As a mom of four, I can tell you that gently used, hand-me-downs have always been a welcome thing in our house. With prices of everything skyrocketing, second-hand shops, toys swaps and yard-sales have become a life-saver when it comes outfitting and supplying kiddos who seem to grow out of stuff almost overnight.
That's why when I see things like this pop up, I feel inclined to pass the information along to those who might also benefit from such a thing.
For the last 3 years, folks in the Hermon have been gathering at the local rec center and holding an indoor yard sale chalk full of kids stuff!
The Hermon Recreation Department organizes the event and this year it will take place on Saturday April 26th at the Patricia A. Duran Gym from 8 AM till noon.
Lindsey Ouellette, Recreation Director for the town of Hermon, says table space will be available for rent.
"It's the perfect opportunity to kick off your spring cleaning by selling your new or gently used children’s items! We offer a 10’ x 10’ rental space and tables for sellers to showcase a variety of kids’ and baby items, including books, toys, clothing, and furniture. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for more information."
Ouellette says while there's no set admission for this event, they do accept donations.
"Admission to the event is by donation, and your generous support will help us purchase outdoor equipment for students attending our upcoming Summer Programs. Every donation, large or small, contributes to our mission of providing enriching recreational opportunities for our community."
She says this year they're expecting over 20 booths. The Maineiac Snack Shack food truck will also be there selling breakfast & lunch for those hungry shoppers. Call 207-848-8014 for more information.
