Hirundo Open For The Season And Looks For Volunteers This Weekend

Hirundo Wildlife Refuge trails and waterways just opened up for the season with trails, canoe and kayak rentals and so much more for your family fun.

Great news for everyone that loves walking, hiking or paddling there and appreciates that there is no admission and that rentals are by donation. . This weekend Hirundo is looking for help cleaning up from the winter and making the refuge ready for the season. So if you are planning to partake of this wonderful place or perhaps have enjoyed the fun you have had there in years past plan to go by on Saturday and give them a hand. On Saturday May 4th they are having Trail Day. Hirundo is looking for volunteers of all kind and anyone who might have a chainsaw, or chainsaw skills. There will be two shifts on Saturday - 9:00 am to noon and noon to 3:00 pm. What a great way to spend a day outdoors and making this natural space even more beautiful.
