Drivers are asked to slow down on I-95 in Bangor, between Broadway and Stillwater Avenue, as crews work to repair the bridge.

In an update, Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says Exit 186 (Stillwater Avenue) northbound on I-95 is reopened to traffic, but there will be heavy congestion on the interstate between the Hammond Street and Stillwater Avenue exits all week. This will be especially true during rush hour traffic, so drivers will want to consider rerouting through Bangor streets, and around that portion of I-95. Northbound traffic, between Broadway and Stillwater Avenue, will be limited to one-lane for the remainder of the week.

The Maine Department of Transportation's goal is to complete the bridge repairs before the holiday weekend.
