It seems counterintuitive that someone would be happy after being arrested. But, at least by her appearance in her most recent mugshot, that is exactly how one Maine woman was feeling following her arrest.

According to WGME 13, the incident began on Saturday morning in South Portland when an officer patrolling Main Street noticed a woman who had outstanding warrants for her arrest. When police attempted to stop the woman, that's when she fled.

Police then called in a K-9 unit to attempt to track the at-large suspect. The news station reports that the dog was successfully able to track the woman to a nearby home. When police arrived, the woman was began threatening to jump out of a window on the home's second story.

As police outside worked to deescalate the tense situation, other officers quietly entered the home and made their way upstairs to the second floor where the woman as located. As the officers attempted to take the woman into custody, that's when the struggle ensued the news station said.

During the struggle, 25-year-old, Angela Theriault, allegedly assaulted multiple officers from the South Portland Police Department. They were finally able to take her into custody following the alleged assault.

One of the two officers that were assaulted was transported to an area hospital and was later released, WGME reported.

Theriault was arrested and since been charged with aggravated criminal mischief, assault on an officer and her previous charge of burglary, which is why she had a warrant in the first place.

Following her arrest, Theriault seemed 'happy' in her mugshot.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
