
Bangor, Maine Children are Safe After a Strange Woman Entered Their Home
A bizarre incident in Bangor began when a woman tried to enter the basement of a stranger's house.
Brewer, Maine, Woman Arrested After Allegedly Entering a Stranger's Home in Bangor
Bangor Police say Rachel Gardner, 41, of Brewer, is facing charges after an incident on Union Street in Bangor that involved a stranger's house and children who were home alone.
It was approximately 5:44 pm on Wednesday, June 3, when Officer Sam Ellis was dispatched to an address on Union Street for a reported burglary.

Ellis was told that someone was entering the residence while the children were home.
Bangor, Police Say a Brewer Woman Entered a Stranger's House Occupied by Children
Police say Officer Ellis was familiar with Gardner because they had encountered each other earlier in the day, over allegations of impairment and indecent conduct.
The officer spoke with the children in the house, who said that Gardner had allegedly tried to make entry through the basement.

When one of the children opened the door to investigate, Gardner entered the house.
The children went upstairs to hide, and the police were contacted.
When the officers arrived, they found Gardner wandering around the backyard of the residence, allegedly impaired.
Brewer, Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Allegedly Entering a Bangor Home
Gardner was searched before her arrest, and the police found suspected methamphetamine.
She's charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled drug
- Violation of probation
- Criminal trespass.
