The Barstool Sports founder and New England Patriots fan has made it clear how he feels following the big game.

At the big game on Sunday, February 8th, one of the most famous and outspoken Patriots fans could only watch as the Seattle Seahawks virtually dominated every phase of the game on their way to capturing their second Super Bowl championship.

Following the game, Dave Portnoy said he spent the past two weeks trying to lift people up and make them feel included in the experience, only to be met with harsh online criticism.

While acknowledging the loss, he added that he can still take pride in winning and losing with class and said he feels sympathy for those who choose to be cruel online.

Portnoy acknowledged that Seattle was the better team on the day, but said watching Drake Maye’s postgame interview was all he needed to see.

Noting that Maye clearly cares just as much as the fans do, he added that the team will be back, that nobody expected them to be in this position, and that the future remains extremely bright.
