Penobscot County officials have arrested two people for unrelated domestic incidents in Garland and Hermon.

Garland, Maine Family Fight Call Ends With 1 Domestic Violence Arrest

At approximately 8 pm on February 13, 2026, Wade Bigelow, 54, of Garland was arrested during an investigation of an alleged family fight.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, it was determined that Bigelow had allegedly strangled his partner and tried to drag her out of the house.

He's been charged with domestic violence aggravated assault and domestic violence criminal threatening.

Hermon, Maine Man Arrested for Domestic Violence Stalking

In an unrelated incident, Deputies responded to a report of a protection order violation in Hermon on February 14, 2026, at approximately 12:45 am.

Jason Wiggin, 42, of Hermon, was taken into custody for violation of a protective order and domestic violence stalking.

Officials say Wiggin had allegedly been at the home multiple times and made repeated contacts with the victim throughout the early morning hours, in violation of an active protective order.
