Two simultaneous busts resulted in a pair of arrests and seizures of cocaine and drugs.

Maine Drug Investigation Leads to 2 Arrests in Washington County

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says the two suspects are:

Matthew Small, 47, of Hancock, who's charged with 2 counts of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs and violation of conditions of release.

Marissa Oullette, 40, of Fort Kent, who was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

Searches of 2 Washington County, Maine Homes Results in 2 Arrests, Drug Seizures

The charges stem from the execution of search warrants in Cherryfield and Harrington on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Those warrants were the result of a month-long investigation, which included the controlled purchases of methamphetamine at 81 Wilson District Road in Harrington and 29 Campbell Hill Road in Cherryfield.

Seized in those  searches were:

  • A 9mm handgun
  • $2,400 in suspected drug proceeds
  • Cocaine

Also seized by authorities were other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Small, who owns both homes, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. His charges were elevated to aggravated by a prior drug conviction.

He's currently being held without bail.

Oullette was also transported to the Washington County Jail on an arrest warrant for violation of her probation.

Officials say more arrests are expected in this case, which remains under investigation.
