Maine Teens Arrested for Burglaries at Cannabis, Firearms Stores

Two juveniles are facing charges for multiple burglaries in several different communities.

Maine Police Arrest 2 Teens for Multiple Burglaries, Attempted Break-ins, Stolen Cars

A 16-year-old male was taken into custody by the Portland Police Department on a warrant issued by the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office in connection with this case.

The Portland Police Department issued a separate warrant for a 17-year-old male and took him into custody on April 20, 2026.

The suspects' names are not being released because of their ages.

At the center of this investigation were commercial burglaries, attempted burglaries, stolen-vehicle incidents, and related offenses that occurred throughout March 2026 at what the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office called 'targeted businesses.'

Those retail establishments included Northeastern Firearms, G3 Firearms, and Vacationland Cannabis in Turner, where surveillance video shows images of the suspects.

The teens are also accused of an incident at First Due Firearms in Sabattus.

In addition, they're suspected of stealing three vehicles reported in Portland, Westbrook, and Auburn.

Those vehicles were later recovered by the Westbrook Police Department and the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office.

Maine Police Agencies Worked Together to Catch 2 Teens Suspected of Burglary

Investigators relied on surveillance footage, forensic and digital evidence, and coordinated efforts between multiple law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend the suspects.

This is an ongoing investigation, and police say more charges are possible.
