New Biz Alert! Bangor is about to get a whole lot more flavorful!

The Bangor restaurant scene is pretty laid-back but surprisingly good for its size. You’ll find a mix of classic Maine seafood spots, cozy diners, and a few modern places that serve comfort food without feeling too fancy.

Since it’s Maine, lobster rolls and fresh seafood are everywhere, but there are also solid brunch cafés, casual pubs, and locally loved staples that people keep going back to.

Here’s the exciting part: something new is coming to the Queen City, next week, and it sounds amazing!

Rasa Indian Cuisine is set to open at 175 Exchange Street in Downtown Bangor, this Sunday, March 29th, bringing a fresh, flavorful menu to a city that’s been missing it.

The owner, Obul Ready, who was also part of another restaurant, Taj, in South Portland, along with his partner, has plenty of Indian dining experience. Rasa will feature seated dinners, a seven-day-a-week lunch buffet, takeout options, and a bar area for Bangor locals to enjoy.

Rasa is also looking for some help with libations—specifically, an experienced bartender (mixology background a big plus) to help shape the bar from the ground up. The salary is $50K–$60K a year plus tips. Interested candidates can inquire at the 175 Exchange Street location.

Indian restaurants are all about big flavors and a relaxing atmosphere. You’ll find classics like chicken tikka masala, creamy saag paneer, and fresh naan straight from the oven. There’s something for everyone—hearty lentil dishes, spiced rice like biryani, veggie-packed curries, and tasty snacks like samosas. Basically, it’s a flavor adventure you can share with friends in Bangor, starting next week!
