Funtown at night = fewer lines, better vibes, zero chaos (well… mostly)

The iconic Funtown Splashtown USA, located at 774 Portland Road in Saco, has been serving up good times to people from New England and beyond, since way back in 1967!

Usually you think of Funtown as a place where family fun is the name of the game, but for 3 hot summer nights, it's time for the adults to play!

If you’ve ever wished you could ride roller coasters without dodging strollers or waiting behind a field trip group, Funtown’s “All Grown Up” Night might be your dream summer event. A few nights each season, Funtown Splashtown USA, turns into an adults-only playground where everyone is 21+, the music is loud, and the nostalgia hits hard.

The event runs after regular park hours, which means cooler nighttime weather, adult beverages, glowing rides, and a totally different vibe from a normal amusement park day. Think less “kids screaming over cotton candy” and more “friends reliving school summers with a cold drink” The park usually features live music, or plays a mix of throwback tunes from the 90s and 2000s, and people show up ready to party, whether that means marathon rides, arcade games, or just wandering around eating fried dough.

One of the best parts? The lines are often surprisingly manageable. Guests can bounce between favorites like Excalibur, Thunderbolt, and Astrosphere without spending half the night waiting. It feels a little like getting the park back after dark.

There are a few rules: you need a valid physical ID, outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, and anyone visibly overdoing the alcohol can be turned away. But overall, people describe the atmosphere as more playful and nostalgic than wild.

Here are the "All Grown Up" event dates for Summer 2026:

Saturday, July 11th-7:30pm-11pm
Saturday, August 1st-7:30pm-11pm
