Not to worry, it won't last too long!

Taking a brief hiatus, a local favorite will close their doors, starting next Monday.

If you happen to drive by the Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor, on the Bangor Waterfront, at the beginning of next week, you may wonder why the parking lot is empty, well you need not wonder anymore.

As a rule, the beginning of a new year is the slowest time in the service biz. Lots of people do a “Dry January” and beyond, especially after spending an entire holiday season drinking, eating and just being merry in general.

From Monday, February 16th-Friday, February 20th, they will close their doors for some renovations to the building. But the closing is a quick one, because they plan to re-open the restaurant, on Saturday, February 21st.

Sea Dog Brewing Co. is a brewpub and restaurant located at 26 Front Street on the Bangor waterfront, overlooking the Penobscot River. It serves a full menu of pub fare alongside its craft beers.

Originally founded in 1993 in Camden, the Bangor location opened in 1995 as the second Sea Dog brewpub, making it one of Bangor’s earliest microbreweries and the first new restaurant on the waterfront in about 20 years at that time.

They combine a brewpub atmosphere with river views, offering handcrafted ales and lagers brewed in the Sea Dog tradition, and a tasty menu including seafood, burgers, salads, and more.

They are hitting the pause button, but just for a bit. Check out their menu, so you can try their incredible food, when the renovations are finished!
