Not to worry, it won't last too long!

Taking a brief hiatus, a local favorite will close their doors, starting this Sunday.

If you happen to drive by High Tide in Brewer, at the beginning of next week, you may wonder why the parking lot is empty, well you need not wonder anymore.

As a rule, January is the slowest month in the service biz. Lots of people do a “Dry January” and don’t indulge in such activities, especially after spending an entire holiday season drinking, eating and just being merry in general.

Knowing that business usually comes to a standstill this time of year, High Tide, located at 5 South Main Street in Brewer, will shut things down for 4 days, starting this coming Sunday, January 11th-Wednesday, January 14th, but they will crank things up again for 2026, when they make their much anticipated return on Thursday, January 15th.

In previous years, they have shut down for either a week, or the entire month of January, but the wait this time is just 4 short days. Nothing more than a quick re-charge.

The temporary closure is simply a chance to give everyone a bit of a break, and come back bigger and better for the new year. This of course means that when they return, you will continue to get delicious seafood, burgers, and other great dishes, along with fantastic live music on the weekends, and outdoors on their awesome deck in the summer months.

Also, don't forget that the Super Bowl is coming up on February 8th, and they are one of the many Bangor area spots to hang with your friends and enjoy all the action on the day of the big game.

No need to worry, after a quick and much deserved rest, the crew at High Tide will be back on January 15th!
