The earthquake registered 1.8 on the Richter Scale and was the 2nd earthquake in Downeast Maine  in 3 days. The other was on Wednesday, January 7th, registering at 1.3 on the Richter Scale at 6:08 a.m. and located 2 kilometers south of Centerville, in Washington County.

Saturday's quake was pinpointed at 44.589°N  68.453°W, with a depth of 10.1 kilometers
