Fielder’s Choice Ice Cream Now Accepts Credit Cards at All 6 Maine Locations

A home run of a change has come to one of Maine's ice cream favorites, Fielder's Choice.

You no longer have just the singular option of shelling out your crumpled dollar bills in exchange for a sweet tweet.

Now, Fielder's Choice is accepting credit cards. Yes, you heard me right. Time to break out the plastic.

Is Fielder's Choice in Maine Cash Only?

Fielder's Choice has long been a cash-only ice cream spot, but that has changed as of 2026.

In a late February Facebook post, the Maine-based business announced that all six locations in the state take credit cards. Oh, and they mention debit cards and Apple pay, too.

Talk about stepping up to the big leagues.

Where Is Fielder's Choice in Maine?

According to its website, Fielder's Choice started in 2006 in Sabuttus, Maine, with a focus on "crafting the finest quality ice cream."

Just 20 years later, the ice cream place has expanded to a total of six locations:

• 937 Western Avenue in Manchester
• 271 Bath Road in Brunswick
• 637 Sabattus Road in Sabattus
• 680 Minot Avenue in Auburn
• 339 Odlin Road in Bangor
• 156 Saco Avenue in Old Orchard Beach
