May is here and with that means the opening of some of the best amusement and water parks in Maine and New Hampshire is almost here.

Sure, there's a bit of rain to kick off the month, but don't worry, the temps are rising, the sun is excited to soon out, and you'll be having the best time in no time.

Amusement Parks Maine 2025

There are some pretty iconic amusement and water parks in Maine, including Palace Playland, Funtown, Splashtown, York's Wild Kingdom and Aquaboggan.

May kicks off the start of the season for a number of spots in the Pine Tree State.

Amusement Parks New Hampshire 2025

Similarly, New Hampshire also has some standout amusement and water parks including Canobie Lake Park, Santa's Village, Story Land, Water Country, and Whale's Tale Water Park.

In fact, Canobie Lake Park is one of the first to open for the season, and this year that's on May 17.
