Jones Lobster Co. Moving To New Holden Location

One of the area's more popular places to pick up a lobster roll is moving up the road.

Jones Lobster Company, which had resided at 796 Main Road in Holden for the past five years or so, is moving about a mile or so up the road closer to Bangor, at 421 Main Road/Route 1A.

The new location is being totally refurbished and will house a new ice cream bar, outdoor pits to cook lobster, and an expanded fish market. The business also will offer an expanded take-out menu.

The new location was once home to a convenience store/gas station, and more recently has housed an antiques and thrift shop. This location on Route 1A sees thousands of vehicles pass by daily.
