38-year-old Ryan Sawyer was arrested twice and involved in no less than six criminal incidents after his arrival in the Queen City, having been transported to Bangor after giving another law enforcement agency some trouble.
According to Sgt. Jeremy Brock of the Bangor PD, these incidents ranged from disorderly conduct to obstructing a public way.
The first encounter Bangor PD had with the man was Tuesday evening (October 6th) when they received calls from a local hospital that a man was taking his clothes off and acting aggressively. Officers, in the process of issuing him a trespass warning, watched him move out into the roadway, when he had to be told to move out of the way of traffic. He was issued a criminal trespass warning, left for a while, but then came back and blocked the emergency entrance to the hospital. Because this meant ambulances could not safely enter that space, cops were called back to the scene, and Sawyer was arrested.

He was out of jail by the next day, and allegedly spent Wednesday evening causing issues for Bangor residents and business again.
The first call Bangor PD received was on Clinton Street, just after 7:30 PM "for a disorderly complaint of a man throwing apples at a car whilst screaming. Sawyer
was warned for disorderly conduct." He received another warning from the police and moved on from there.
Sawyer ended up, less than an hour later, at a business on Hammond Street, where he was allegedly screaming profanities, scaring patrons and those around the business, and breaking windows. So the police were called out again.
"The business owner was still visibly upset from the encounter and told officers that she had asked Sawyer to leave when he began asking patrons of the store to use their phones. The owner said Sawyer then began hitting the windows with his fists and yelling vulgarities at the business owner. Others who witnessed the outburst were
also frightened by it."
Officers caught up with Sawyer, who had moved away from that scene after the alleged chaos he created, and arrested him again.
