‘Magic Mike’ Star Manganiello Pops Up In Maine in Old Childhood Haunt, Peaks Island

While he was born and raised in Pittsburg, PA, the now Hollywood hunk, Joe Manganiello (think True Blood, Magic Mike and Spider-Man) spent his summers on the East Coast.

His dad's originally from the Boston area, so it stands to reason he'd be familiar with the great spots in Maine. And for the Manganiellos, Peaks Island was a special spot.

While it had been a while since Manganiello has set foot in Maine, he was obviously tickled to return to his old childhood haunt, and bring a couple of lovely friends with him.

Taking in the local sites and sounds, Maganiello took to social media to share his homecoming (and food pics) with the world, promising that he'd be back sooner next time.

"In a lot of ways this was me coming home for the first time in many years. I spent every summer growing up on the island and I’m happy to report that everything was right where I left it… "

"...right down to the Moxie, Whoopie Pies, lobster rolls, ferry boats, Sandy Beach, & old WWII bunkers…"

"...damn I missed this place. I promise I won’t ever stay away that long again."

Manganiello is one of many famous folks who cut their teeth along Maine's rugged coast or in the wild woods of the Pine Tree State.
