Election Day is coming right up!

This coming Tuesday, November 5th, Maine voters will be out in force, casting ballots for who, and whatever, they see fit. I honestly don't give one rat's fanny who you vote for. But, as almost hopeless as it seems at times, voting is the only limited say we have in whatever happens to us as a country.

You know the old saying, you can please some of the people all of the time, etc. That's pretty much what politics is. So rather than focus on the myriad of things that make us different, we should all at least agree that voting is pretty dang important. Across Maine, including here in Bangor, towns and cities are trying to make it easier for people to vote.

Obviously, you'll need to do a smidge of research to make sure you know where you're supposed to go to vote, but if you have any trouble getting there and live close enough to any of the Community Connector's routes, you can hop on it and take it wherever you need to go. And back home again.

The City of Bangor was getting the news out to folks earlier this week. In addition, Bangor is even bringing back their trolleys that have been out of sight for a while. The free rides also extend to the routes that head out into Brewer, Hampden, Old Town, Orono and Veazie.

I think it'd be kind of cool to hop on one of the trolleys and ride that in to vote. It'd make the whole process seem extra, extra important. I'd feel like some kind of oldey-timey businessman, off to cast my vote, hahaha. Hey... why not. It's going to be a crazy election, so why not pick the coolest way to show up? Heck of a lot cheaper than a limo!
