Husband and wife team Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly are about to start production on a comedy movie starring Kristen Bell and Leslie Jones about a couple of housewives who discover how to make counterfeit coupons and soon find themselves running a $40 million coupon cartel. The movie, called 'Queenpins," is based on a true story!

Back in 2012 After an eight-week undercover investigation, police raided three homes in Arizona and seized $40 million worth of bogus coupons, and arrested the women who were enjoying a life of “opulence and the money was the equivalent of drug cartel-type of stuff,” according to the police. That was the story on TIME.com. The women allegedly purchased the fake coupons overseas and then resold them at eBay and other sites.

The Bangor Daily News shared that Aron is from Old Town and a graduate of the New England School of Communications in Bangor. Along with his wife Gita, they already have a couple movies under their belts. The movie "The Way We Get By" won awards at the annual SXSW film festival and is about the Maine Troop Greeters, who for nearly 30 years have greeted every plane that stops at Bangor International Airport.

There is no release date for the movie "Queenpis" yet.
