Yet again, flags are to be lowered because of another senseless shooting.

Today, Tuesday, July 3rd, the Governor's office issued the following, "In respect for the victims of the shooting in Annapolis, Maryland, on June 28, Governor Paul R. LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset this evening."

"Ann and I send our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and all those who have been affected by this tragedy," stated Governor LePage.

The shootings took place this past Friday when a gunman brandishing a shotgun shot and killed five workers at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis.
