Maine Holds $249 Million In Unclaimed Cash, Is Any Of It Yours

Musician Steve Miller once sang, "Your cash ain't nothin' but trash."  He was wrong.

The State of Maine is holding almost $250 million in unclaimed funds.  Money that was lost somehow and ended up in the state's possession.  Inheritance, overpayments, and the like, turned over by thousands of organizations and businesses.

Seems like it can't hurt to see if any of it is yours.  You may be surprised.

Just go to MaineUnclaimedProperty.gov, and type in the normal stuff like name, town, and zip code.  Maybe you'll get lucky today!
