These are the Last Dates to Mail Maine Christmas Presents
Christmas is only six weeks away...
I loooooove Christmas, but that was even hard for me to write. I'm not upset because it's so close, but because it literally only means there's six weeks left in the holiday season. It's my favorite time of the year, so I like to make it last as long as I possibly can. Six weeks just doesn't seem far enough away.
However, I haven't done one single bit of Christmas shopping. My family takes it fairly easy and often do secret Santa and such, because we're all most interested in saving each other money. But, a lot of folks have family that live out of town, and often have to do a bunch of shopping, followed by a bunch of package sending.
Again, Christmas is only six weeks away...
If you're looking to use UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc... They all have different dates that are basically the last minute you can get things out before they will arrive late. Oftentimes, you're going to want to leave at least ten days, and two weeks would probably be even better, but we can still break it down.
USPS
If you use the regular ground service, you'll want that dropped off at the post office by December 18th. Should you choose Priority, the 19th will do it. If you're using Priority Express, get it to them by no later than December 21st.
UPS
UPS Ground is always the most affordable option. But, you'll want to make sure that you get whatever you're sending to them by December 17th. If you do 3-day delivery, it'll need to be in by December 19th. 2-day by the 21st, and overnight will need to be dropped off by the 23rd.
FedEx
FedEx Ground, but economy class, is the cheapest option, but you need that on it's way in like, two weeks. those go out by December 6th. Regular Ground service will need to be in by December 14th. Express Saver has to be ready to roll by the 19th to arrive on time, and 2-day will need to be there by the 20th. Same day? By Christmas Eve.
It'd be really easy to be kind of annoyed by some of these dates, but it's literally the busiest time of the year for these folks. And, it's no secret most people would prefer their Christmas presents by Christmas. So suck it up, buttercup. Besides, if you really want to enjoy the Christmas spirit, make it last as long as possible by getting the packages out as soon as possible!
