This is the Most Dangerous Day of the Week to Drive in Maine
In Maine, is there ever really a safe day to drive?
I've been ringing this bell to anyone who would listen the last few years, that Mainers are actually some of the worst drivers on the road. Everyone always wants to be in first place, and seemingly has very little consideration for anyone else around them. Like, ever watch a Mainer merge onto the highway?

It's like somehow as a people, we've altered our perception of the word "yield" to mean "step on it". It's nuts. And that's just one small example. But it would seem, according to some recent research, there's one day Mainers are more likely to get in accident than any other. And on a day that's supposed to be kind of chill...
Start staying home on Saturdays...

One little bit of trivia that I was not prepared to process, what that almost 13 people a month die on Maine roads. that seems like an alarming number. We have .43 fatalities on Maine roads every day. Or another way to look at it, is one person dies in a crash every other day in Maine. That's insane.

If anything, we just need to be honest about how we drive, and maybe act accordingly. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely zero faith in that happening, because people always think it's the other person's fault. But something tells me, we ought to try and smarten up. For the good of all of us...
