University of Maine alum and big time Boston TV sports guy Gary Tanguay has revealed his bout with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Yesterday, Tanguay announced his diagnosis via a short video on Twitter.  In the video he disclosed that he's receiving treatment at both Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber, both in Boston.

Gary Tanguay, who grew up in Maine, has been a sports analyst for both television and radio in the Boston area now for about 18 years.

In the video he mentions that his appearance will be changing as he loses his hair during treatments, and that "My cancer is treatable and I consider myself to be very, very lucky."
