Delicious baked goods are my Achilles heel...

There's no avoiding it. If it's a delicious treat that comes in donut form, or pastry form, or cookie form... I will devour it with an intensity rarely seen anywhere but the animal world. I go through a dozen donuts like a tiger goes through a zebra. I bury myself in until they're gone, and emerge with a face stained with the drippings of my bounty.

So if you start any conversation with, "have you heard about this new bakery..." I stop listening after I hear bakery and begin drooling like a Pavlovian dog. So you can imagine I was pretty psyched to see on Facebook, that Sweet Cheeks Bakery, with locations in Holden and Verona Island, is opening a new spot in Ellsworth!

Although, Sweet Cheeks has been pretty charmed since opening. Obviously they're doing something right if a third location is on the way. But it was announced on Thursday, that they would be setting up shop in their new spot in the Mill Mall at 248 State Street in Ellsworth.

One would assume at the new spot, that they'll continue to feature what has become one of their most popular offerings. Sure, the food itself, but also they're awesome vending machines! Sweet Cheeks found a unique way to continue to get their delicious products to people after hours, without needing overnight staff.

It'll be a nice third addition to what's already become known as one of the busiest bakeries in the area. And considering their location in Ellsworth, tourists and people form all over will now get to experience the awesomeness firsthand. No word on the official opening, but we'll keep you in the loop on that. It won't come fast enough!
