A standoff in Skowhegan Wednesday ended in the arrest of a suspect, but he's not one of the Connecticut men who are the subjects of a manhunt in Raymond.

Thursday night's incident started when Skowhegan Police noticed some suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Indian Ridge apartments. A man allegedly ran from police, when they tried to approach him, and a standoff ensued. The man was eventually taken into custody, allegedly in possession of illegal drugs.

In addition, police obtained a warrant for the apartment in question, and cleared several people from the residence. Skowhegan Police Chief David Bucknam told WABI-TV that there were some people of interest in the residence, but not the two men who are currently being sought by police in Raymond.

The search will continue today for Dayshawn Middleton and Christopher Farrow of Connecticut, who ran from police, following a high speed chase. The pursuit began in Waterville, when police identified one of the men as a suspect in a Connecticut robbery, proceeded through several cities, and ended in Raymond when the men ran into the woods. It's believed they may be traveling with a woman, 26-year-old Hailey Goeltz.

Skowhegan Police say the two men are suspects in a shooting on Norton Street back on September 4th. A fight at a residence ended when shots were fired by all three people inside the home. The two visitors, allegedly Middleton and Farrow, then fled.

Police consider Middleton and Farrow armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees them should not approach them, but call 911 immediately.
