A missing Miami boy who has been the subject of an Amber Alert and was spotted in Maine has been found safe in Canada.

Jorge 'JoJo' Morales is just 6-years-old and has been traveling with his father and paternal grandmother, since August. He was last seen on August 27th, in the Miami home he shares with his mother. FBI officials say the parents had been involved in a custody dispute when JoJo went missing. His mother, Yanet Conception, says JoJo is on the autism spectrum and often has trouble communicating. She told authorities she had feared, for some time, that her ex-husband might have been planning an abduction.

On Sunday, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children posted an update on their Facebook page that JoJo has been found safe, in Canada.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick also posted on their Facebook page that JoJo had been found safe in Moncton. His father, 45-year-old Jorge Morales was taken into custody, without incident, at a Moncton, New Brunswick business. Jojo's grandmother, Lilliam Pena Morales, was arrested in Saint-Paul, also without incident. Both are in custody and will be extradited to Florida to face federal charges, including felony custodial interference.

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children posted Conception's emotional reaction when she learned her son was safe.

Investigators focused their search on Canada after an abandoned SUV was found in Littleton, Maine with items inside believed to belong to the 6-year-old. In addition, JoJo and his father and grandmother were spotted on surveillance video from a Walgreens store in Houlton.

If he hasn't made the trip already, JoJo will soon be reunited with his mother.
