More Than 200 Mainers Registered for Boston Marathon Race Today

It's the day to pick up running numbers for the 120th Boston Marathon on Monday and there are a lot of runners from Maine!

206 Mainers aged 19-74 are signed up for one of the worlds biggest marathon events. There are 5 registered from Bangor and more than 15 from the greater Bangor area. For complete list of participants click here.

Race events begin around 9AM with many ways to follow your favorite Maine racers. The event will be streamed online on CBS Boston for everyone to view.

You can also follow racers by downloading the relatively new app for the marathon. It will give you details like the race map, finish line notifications, track runners, and more.

Those following runners from home can also receive text alerts or track their favorite runner at Baa.org by bib number.
