My house feels small all of a sudden.

My wife and I were lucky. We bought our house about a year before the pandemic changed the entire landscape of real estate in Maine. To the point where we joke that there's no way we could afford our house if we had to buy it now. Not that it's particularly awesome, but it suits us just fine.

But I always wonder how people can afford gigantic house like the one we're looking today. What kind of work are you in that a house this size is reasonable? I'm not wealth shaming, I'm genuinely curious. Obviously it's not someone who works in radio, hahaha. But it is stunning when you get going in the photos.

This is what almost $2 million will get you in Bangor.

It'll get you 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, a huge kitchen, a game room, and 8800 square feet of living. You could live here with all your friends, and still never run into each other. I think we could effectively use the word mansion in this case. I'm not sure what the actual definition is, but this sure looks like it.

If you think you might be able to afford it, the mortgage will only set you back about $10k a month. But if you check out the link on Zillow, they estimate you could only get half that in rent for the place. Go figure. Anyhow... check out these absolutely stunning photos yourself and see what you think...

I WONDER IF IT'S ALSO THE BIGGEST HOUSE IN BANGOR???
