A warming trend will wrap up the week, that started with snow on the ground.

The National Weather Service is calling for a "big warming trend" beginning Thursday in the Bangor area. Temps will rebound to near 60 for much of Maine. The stretch of mild temps is expected last into next week.

Earlier this week, Bangor saw record breaking snowfall. While accumulations were minimal, the 1.8 inches of snow beat a previous record of one inch set back in 1996.

Tuesday's storm prompted the NWS to issue a Winter Weather Advisory for coastal Hancock and Washington Counties. Prospect Harbor piled up the most snowfall at 5.5 inches.
