One trend that seems to be quite prevalent with craft stores are these coupons you get that offer deep discounts for future purchases at the store. Usually, you'll get these coupons with your receipt to have you coming back in the next week or two.  Sometimes these coupons can appear in an ad in a newspaper.

Either way, this way to get a great deal will be wrapping up in the coming weeks for one national craft store chain.

Hobby Lobby, a nationwide chain but also located here in Bangor, will be doing away with the 40% off coupons that chains like this one are known for.  In a response to a question on Facebook, Hobby Lobby responded by validating the claim that the 40% off coupons would be soon discontinued:

As of February 28th, 2021, Hobby Lobby will no longer be offering the 40% off coupon in stores or online. By making this decision, we are intensifying our efforts to discount thousands of items every day. This will offer a better value instead of providing a discount on only one item with the coupon.
It is always our intent to provide you with beyond compare service, great prices and the best selection. We appreciate your understanding during this period of transition and thank you for your continued business.

People reacting on Facebook we pretty devastated by this change, some stating the store was already kind of pricey and losing these discounts would make them go to other craft stores.  Others responded that this change wouldn't make a difference to them and that they would continue to shop at the store.
