New George Thorogood Video Assists Non-Profit Veterans Matter
Once a person has risen to serve our country there is nothing more heartbreaking than to see them come home and fall between the cracks of society and become homeless. That is where in many states Veterans Matter steps in where our government has gaps and helps get many of the former soldiers back into housing.
Recently rocker George Thorogood joined the Veterans Matter cause with this new video. George is not alone in the rock world supporting this organization. Other rockers helping include, Heart, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, and Dusty Hill plus many other notable celebrities.
Their hope is to end veteran’s homelessness. That is a big dream and yet there site says that the departments of Housing and Urban Development and of Veterans Affairs said in November the number of homeless veterans has dropped by about half to 38,000.
They go on to say that the goals of the group isn't just about getting a veteran a warm place to stay, it's about changing their lives and giving them hope.
