NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory For Bangor & Downeast
A winter mess will move into the area beginning tonight.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will be in effect from 10 tonight until 10 Tuesday night. Most areas will see precipitation begin as snow before changing over to rain. Both areas could see anywhere between 2 and 6 inches of snow before changing over to sleet and then entirely over to rain.
Temperatures in Bangor and downeast tonight will dip to 27 degrees, so roads will be very slippery at times.
The morning commute could be very slippery as well, so please slow down allow yourself some extra time to reach your destination. After a high temperature of 36 Tuesday, travel conditions could become slippery again by New Year's Eve as the temperature goes down into the upper 20s once again.
