NWS Warns Of Slippery Roads Across Inland Maine

Beginning very early this Friday morning, a very small amount of ice glaze could form on the roads from Bangor to Houlton.

The National Weather Service tells us that a wintery mix is expected sometime after midnight tonight and into early Friday morning, with sleet in the far north, freezing rain in the central areas, and mostly rain downeast.  These conditions are expected to continue for about 24 hours into very early Saturday morning.

Drivers who plan on traveling Interstate 95 or Route 2 north, east on Route 9, or northwest on Route 201 should be very careful.
