A woman has died from injuries sustained in a head-on crash in Rockport Wednesday night.

The accident happened on Route 17, near Rocky Pond. Reconstruction teams worked through the night to try and figure out exactly how the two vehicles collided. Camden-Rockport Police Chief Randy Gagne told the Penbay Pilot the female driver of the westbound vehicle died as a result of injuries she sustained in the accident. Her male passenger was being evaluated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the eastbound vehicle were treated and released.
