Orono Brewing Company Creates A Beer For UMaine Class Of 21′

Pour a cold one and celebrate the Class of 2021!

As the end of another school year is upon us, once again, things will not be the same for graduation, as we hit the home stretch of a year plus pandemic. With this in mind, Orono Brewing Company came up with a way to salute the kids in the University of Maine Class of 2021.

The "Congrats Class Of 2021" India Pale Ale is now available at Orono Brewing Company, and will be distributed throughout the area this coming week. It features a snazzy can design with UMaine's classic blue colors.

Orono Brewing Company, located at 61 Margin Street, opened back on New Year's Eve 2014, and they feature a brewery, tasting room, kitchen, and they also have outdoor dining, now that the warmer weather. They also have a Downtown Bangor location that is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As far as UMaine graduation goes this year, students have the opportunity to participate in socially distanced commencement stage walks. These are scheduled for April 26–29 and May 3, and will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing.

The stage walk events are for graduates only, and guests are not allowed on-site, due to COVID health and safety guidelines.

A recorded virtual commencement presentation will be available for you to check out in late May. It will feature messages from campus leadership, speakers and music, as well as photos of all graduates..
